Presurgical Preparation
1. Feed 1/2 of your pets normal ration no later than 10:00 p.m. the night before surgery. Pick up the patients water bowl at this time. Ensure that everybody in the family follows these guidelines.
2. Ensure that your pet is thoroughly clean and free of fleas and ticks.We stronly recommend using an antibacterial shampoo. PLEASE ENSURE YOUR PET HAS URINATED AND DEFECATED BEFORE YOU COME INTO THE BUILDING. WALK THEM THE MORNING OF SURGERY TO ENSURE THEY ARE EMPTY. PLEASE ENSURE CATS HAVE ACCESS TO A LITTER BOX THE NIGHT BEFORE AND MORNING OF SURGERY.
3. Please bring your pet in ON A LEAD OR IN A CARRIER.
PLEASE DO NOT ATTEMPT TO CARRY YOUR CAT INTO THE CLINIC IN YOUR ARMS. OTHER PETS IN THE CHECK-IN AREA COULD CAUSE YOUR CAT TO REACT UNPREDICTABLY.
